Overview and Benefits

tPack builds on Delphi to give you even more productivity. tPack includes over 50 components that solve common problems and/or demonstrate interesting design ideas, plus many utility functions (see the list of units and look at the units starting with "uc" for utility code).

The string functions in ucString are great - everything I've ever needed to do with strings is in there. I also love the AppendTo log file commands in ucLogFil.

Highlights

Provides over two dozen handy string functions.
Ucstring, the unit
Saves and restores all edit box values, extremely handy for initializing defaults in utility programs.
TEditRestorer component
Extends Delphi TTable to add multiuser retry features. This is an excellent example for Delphi beginners who want to learn how to derive their own classes.
TtpTable component
Allows you to make your application run in the Tray (for Win95 + NT).
TtpTrayIcon component

tPack - it's everywhere! All of HREF's in-house applications and almost all HREF products were built with tPack. It's an excellent foundation for everything from software components to entire products.

If I were forced to give up tPack I would have to recompile every application I've written in the past two years. I always use ucString, and the tWebIniFileLink combined with grid and form restorers make initialization fast and easy.
I like ucString so much I even named my own function library after it: ucMarkFcn!

A help file is included covering all units, components, properties, methods and events. The help file is included in the free trial version and is available online as a web site.
