Overview and Benefits

Use the WebHub Components to develop custom, high-performance application servers that have database, full-text search and/or ecommerce functionality.

The WebHub Framework goes far beyond the functionality included in Borland Delphi. It helps you build HTTP- and HTML-based applications for interactive sites, static sites and/or CD-ROM presentations.

Requirements and/or Compatible Software

Operating System: Windows Server 2003, Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7

HTTP Server Software that supports cgi-bin or ISAPI, e.g. Microsoft IIS, Apache

Language: Object Pascal - D15 (Delphi XE), D16 (Delphi XE2) for win32.

WebHub System with any capacity Hub. (A hub with capacity for one module is included with each developer license.)

Documentation

Beginners are advised to read the two-part article series called "WebHub Way of Thinking," kindly published by Software Development Magazine in the Netherlands, www.sdn.nl. Part 1 and Part 2.

The manual for the WebHub Dreamweaver Extension is reasonably current and provides dozens of helpful tips, for all but the most advanced WebHub developers (even if you do not use Dreamweaver).

Source Code Availability

Source for WebHub is available as follows:

Some source is included in the standard package for registered developers. For example, the code for ThtWebApp, ThtDBWebApp, several web action component examples, and over 30 demos are included. One of those demos is the generic application server named "aserver.exe".
