Tour: Shopping Cart System Screen Shots
The main entrance to the store displays all the classes of products, from the classes table. |
The Items Overview page displays all the items in the selected class of products. The buttons enable scrolling to additional pages of items within the same class. |
The Items Detail page displays more detail about the selected item. Graphics can be linked by coordinating the GIF or JPG filename to the item id. |
As items are added to the cart, the Items Overview page will display the shopping cart. The page layout is entirely up to the site designer; the cart can be moved anywhere on the page and displayed in any color. |
When shopping is complete, the surfer goes to the Checkout page. The order is displayed again for confirmation, and the surfer is asked to enter billing information. In this example, red bullets indicate the required fields. |
If all required fields are entered and the shopper clicks the final confirmation button, the order will be e-mailed to the store owner and posted to the database, and the surfer will see a final thank you page. The order and all confidential data is erased at this time. Even if the shopper does not check out, the data is cleared by WebHub Central after N minutes of activity. By default, this is 24 hours, but you can change that setting easily on the Hub's Options panel. |
The store owner has an Administration Menu which allows for remote maintenance of the database as well as uploading and downloading new tables. |
