Overview and Benefits

The Shopping Cart Jump Start Project gives you the source code to an application server for online, database-driven stores. The store works "out of the box" (after you compile the EXE). You can then modify the database contents, the graphics, the page layout, and so on. For deployment:

WebHub System, at your desired hub capacity. Choose the hub capacity based on two factors: the number of different stores you want to support on that machine and the amount of dynamic page requests you expect per second. See this page to estimate capacity requirements.
Your database engine, e.g. Borland Database Engine (free, included with Delphi)
Microsoft Windows NT workstation or server
Any web server that supports cgi-win, cgi-bin, or ISAPI

Documentation

Includes a 30-page user manual which describes: how to install the system for use with one or more stores and customize the store for your own use, the database design, the web action components (application organization), and the page flow.
